The Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD) is nationally known for its clinical excellence, for its research leadership, and for its training and mentoring of a generation of leaders in academic medicine.

Fellowship and Medical Education

World-class training with a unique and innovative curriculum

We sponsor a nationally recognized ACGME training program in Critical Care Medicine that attracts highly rated residents from internal medicine programs nationally who wish to train in critical care medicine, with many of our fellows also completing subspecialty training in pulmonary medicine, infectious diseases, or cardiology.
